I love burgers - a fact that I am not ashamed to flout - and a proper one at that, not a burger with a piece of chicken inside it, but one with the perfect patty. Last week, I had an urge for a good burger and I could not find one around T. Nagar (where I work), so my friend and I decided to see what Chicking had to offer as it was the closest to us and it has been almost four years since I went there, so.......well, I did not even write about it and I realized that I should have not gone there in the first place - bad bread, bad everything.......Back to the point, the burger craze was getting worse after a bad burger!
I pulled another friend of mine and dragged him to join me for a burger at the Blur Cafe, Satyam Complex - he decided to have a hot dog instead, while I ordered their beef burger and slurp, slurp, slurp, I loved it! The hot dog was pretty nice, but yes, there was something other than the burger that took the cake (and the baker's wife along with it) - the chocolate crumble! Whoa, it was simply superb - with rice chocolate mousse (I think) with lots of crumble on top and perfect to be shared! In fact, I forgot to mention the starter - a bruschetta, the Italian garlic bread served with goodies on top of it, equally stunning as the burger!
While the food was getting ready, the friend wanted to play a game of bowling and I obliged, its been a while since I played bowling and I scored 146 - I don't think he wants me to mention what he scored!!!
So, by the end of the day I got my burger and a bonus with the dessert, and a game of bowling!
We have spoken at length about their service and ambiance, so lets give that a miss! The burger was priced at Rs 130, which was fine for its size, taste and quality!
Food 9/10
Service 8/10
Ambiance 8/10
Price 8/10
