Fisherman's Cove Lobby Cafe

One of my favourite lobby cafes in Chennai, we hit this cafe for Valentine's day this year and had a wonderful time. The outdoor seating area faces the swimming pool and the lush gardens and offer a pleasing view. Only problem is the number of mosquitoes that swarm after dark, but if that is not an issue, then this is a beautiful lobby cafe!

We had a mocktail each, one litchie and one pineapple based mocktails, a sandwich, a burger and shared a dessert - which though was not in the menu, they willingly brought it for me from the Seagull restaurant.

The mocktails were very good, I really enjoyed them. The sandwich was ok, but the burger was awesome. Nice thick patty, super soft burger buns and the right amount of mayo and vegetables inside. But the pick of everything was the double mousse dessert. It is a thick chocolate mousse covered with crust and topped up with white chocolate mousse on top. The white chocolate mousse looks like vanilla ice cream when you first look at it, and the taste really surprised me. Wonderful.

Total price for the above was Rs 1120, but this is 5 star hotel with service and views to accompany and was well worth it.
